How did God make rainbows?

I am putting my rainbow in the clouds.

Genesis 9:13

God made the very first rainbow when Noah’s ark landed and settled on Mount Ararat after the flood. God wanted to give Noah a sign that He would never flood the whole earth again, so God made a rainbow in the sky. He did this by creating a misty sky (like when we have rain showers) and having the sunlight hit the mist just right. The water in the mist helped break up the sun’s rays, and since sunlight is made up of every color, the result was a beautiful, seven-color rainbow! So, every time you see a rainbow after or during a rain shower, you can remember the story of Noah and God’s promise—that He’ll never again flood the whole world.
